Zaza J. Aivazi MD

Dr. Aivazi earned his MD degree with honors from Tbilisi State Medical University in 1986 and his Ph.D. in Neurophysiology from the Russian Academy of Medical Science in 1990. After moving to the United States, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and pursued a Fellowship in Cardiology at the same institution. During his Cardiology Fellowship at Lenox Hill, Dr. Aivazi received training under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Nicolas DePasquale and Dr. Jeffrey Moses. Upon completion of his training, Dr. Aivazi obtained double board certification in Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology.
In 2003, Dr. Aivazi joined a Private Cardiology Group practice affiliated with Lenox Hill Hospital and Mount Sinai. In 2010, he was offered a position at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai as an attending Cardiologist and Clinical Instructor of Medicine in Cardiology. In 2014, Dr. Aivazi was honored for his long-standing partnership with the Mount Sinai Health System. Dr. Aivazi has presented at national conferences and published his research in reputable cardiology journals. Additionally, he has provided comprehensive cardiovascular evaluations for legal proceedings.
