Medical Weight Loss Program

At the New York Bariatric Group, our approach to weight loss is centered around the individual needs and goals of each patient. We view weight loss as a process that requires the right tools to achieve the best results. Whether through medication, gastric balloons, or surgical options, we ensure that each patient receives the most effective treatment to support their journey to better health.

Our program is guided by the latest evidence-based techniques, ensuring that patients benefit from the most up-to-date treatments available. We take a comprehensive approach, incorporating the expertise of our onsite nutritionists and psychologists to create a medically supervised weight loss plan tailored to each patient.

For those seeking rapid weight loss, we offer a very low-calorie diet (VLCD) that lasts approximately eight weeks. This induction phase is designed to jumpstart weight loss. Following this phase, our nutritionists work closely with patients to develop a sustainable eating plan that supports continued weight loss and long-term success.

Our Medical Weight Loss Program is a Sustainable Approach to Lasting Results with Nutrition, Exercise, and Medication

For patients looking for slower, sustainable weight loss, we devise a diet regimen to help patients permanently alter how they approach food. Using the most recent scientific research on habit change, we will help patients develop a sustainable eating program complemented by an exercise program.

Our comprehensive medical weight loss in New York City, Long Island, New Jersey & various convenient locations throughout New York & Connecticut incorporates a physician specializing in medication for weight loss, nutritional guidance, behavioral support, and expert fitness assistance. This combination will help ensure all patients receive the right help to reach their weight and personal goals.

Tara's success story

I was approaching 50 and knew if I didn’t do something soon my days would be numbered.

5.0

I was approaching 50 and knew if I didn’t do something soon my days would be numbered. GLP-1 medications for weight loss have changed my life. I had tried everything. Nothing lasted. Medications like Saxenda, Wegovy, and Zepbound changed my relationship with food. I no longer feel hungry immediately after eating. I fill up faster and stay satisfied longer. I’m not longer a slave to food cravings. My labs are normal and GLP-1s are the only medicine I take now. For the first time in my life, I feel normal around food. These medications have saved my life.
